Injection site reactions such as redness, itching, or swelling can occur in up to 1 in 10 users. Usually, these symptoms subside as your body gets used to it.
To alleviate these reactions, you can use antihistamines. Non-drowsy antihistamines or antihistamine creams can be helpful. These are available at your pharmacy.
In a few users, redness and itching persist during the use of Mounjaro or Wegovy.
If your rash worsens, spreads, becomes redder, or the pain becomes unbearable, please stop using the medication and seek help from your general practitioner, emergency number 112, or the emergency room.
