Mounjaro® and Wegovy® are administered weekly using an injection pen. The injection can be given in the arm, leg, or abdomen. The injection pen has a very small, fine needle that allows for application just under the skin.
Each box contains four needles – one for each injection over the four weeks. A detailed instruction manual is included with each order, explaining step-by-step how to safely attach the needle to the pen.
The medication can be administered at a time that best fits your daily routine, regardless of meals. However, to optimize effectiveness, the injection should ideally be given at the same time each week.
Remove the needle after use and dispose of it safely in a sharps container.
