Cancellations, medicine returns and refunds

Overview

Use this article to understand MedExpress policies regarding order cancellations, medication return restrictions, and refund timelines.

Order Cancellations and Withdrawal Rights

Customers can cancel a MedExpress order before the pharmacy processes the order.

  • To cancel a MedExpress order, contact MedExpress customer service using the MedExpress contact form.

  • The statutory 14-day withdrawal right applies to the MedExpress consultation service contract.

  • The statutory 14-day withdrawal right does not apply to the physical medications once the medications leave the pharmacy.

Medication Returns

For safety and regulatory reasons, MedExpress cannot accept returned medications once the medications leave the pharmacy premises.

  • Customers cannot return medications for a refund after the pharmacy dispatches the order.

  • If customers possess unwanted or unused medications, customers must take the unwanted medications to a local pharmacy for safe disposal.

Refund Timelines and Processing

When a MedExpress order cancellation is successful, MedExpress issues the refund directly to the original payment method. The timeline to receive funds involves two distinct phases:

  • MedExpress Processing Time: MedExpress processes the refund within 2 to 5 business days after confirming the order cancellation.

  • Bank Settlement Time: After MedExpress processes the refund, the bank or payment provider may require an additional 5 to 10 business days to credit the funds to the customer's bank account.
